Heavy Duty Fold-Away Bench Bracket

A heavy-duty, 3-part foldable support bracket designed for full-size desk benchtop panels. The model anchors to the wall on a broad footprint, deploying horizontally and locking into place with an interlocking diagonal truss mechanism.

What it's for

Perfect for drop-down workbench extensions, folding laundry tables, and space-saving wall desks. It folds flat vertically against the wall when unlatched. You lift the desk slightly to free the strut's cross-pin, which allows it to slide back through the track and stow flush.

• Overall depth from wall: ~200mm (scale up in your slicer for exceptionally deep boards, though this is robust).
• Wall plate: 160mm tall, 34mm wide footprint with 6mm countersinks.
• Component clearance: ~0.5mm built-in gaps for smooth mechanism action without slop.

Print notes

• Lay the parts flat on their sides on the bed (the long faces) to guarantee layer strength along the lever arms.
• Designed to use standard 8mm (M8) bolts or rods through the main pivots for robust sheer strength.
• Because a desk handles a lot of leverage, use high-infill PETG or ABS/ASA. Standard PLA could creep heavily under loads holding up heavy wood.
